07/17/2005 Cleevage takes win in the FINAL "Battle of the Bad Ass Bands 4" at Just Bills/Chunksofmeat. Cleevage with a flawless performance having a close battle against How Your Life Ends making the Chunksofmeat 2 year anniversary party a night for the Chunksofmeat history books. Cleevage performed 2 new songs showing their musical ability on another level. Their on stage professionalism sparks the crowd nicely while their bone chilling vocal harmonies are something you can walk out of a club with singing over and over again. Bands How Your life Ends took a strong 2nd place, a band you won't want to miss on the BAINE FEST, and Bare Knuckle Conflict in 3rd place and In Cold Blood in 4th. With an enormous insane supportive crowd, another unforgettable night at the Chunksofmeat Head Quarters.

06/25/2005 Battle of the Bad Ass Bands 4 has been decided. The finals will be held on Saturday July 16th at Just Bills. How your Life Ends, In Cold Blood, Cleevage, and Bare Knuckle Conflict will go head to head in STL's biggest battling event for musicians. These bands will duke it out for $500 cash and their name proudly displayed on the Chunksofmeat/Just Bills plague of recognition. Previous Final Battles by Chunksofmeat have been extremely emotional events, So be don't miss it! These 4 bands have also earned the right to the next Chunks of St. Louis compilation cd due out early 2006. This will show will also be the 2 year Chunksofmeat/Just Bills anniversary party.

04/18/2005 Chunksofmeat INSANE IN KANE from cowboy hats with Chunksofmeat shirts and Kane stompin metal heads, this show was huge, crazy, and insane. Kane a small town outside of Jerseyville, Ill in the middle of the cornfields with nothin but a few houses, the Kane water tower and The Legion Hall. These people know how to throw down a party and have a kick time. You know your in the country when they are pulling Budweiser from the water trauft! Kane we'll be back, July 2nd

Thanks man, everything sounds great! We're looking forward to Friday! It will be a blast. I can't wait (and you know that!) to get this C.D. in my hand! Thanks for everything you have done in 2004 to create and keep this scene alive. I know you'll just say its OUR scene, but you provide the fuel, and we ignite it! Also thank your wife Jenny for us, she does alot as well. She is the first face we see when we enter Just Bills and she always has a smile! You have created a family of metal brothers and sisters and for that we appreciate Chunks of Meat!

It all started for me when we came to Baine Fest before we even step foot into Just Bills or Chunks of Meat. We knew then something was going and we wanted to be a part of it. That same night I saw Cleevage and Dose for the first time. I also witnessed Bob(Cleevage) fall completely off stage, come unplugged from his amp, and still kept playing. I also remember at Off Broadway. We all stayed after a little bit and someone was messing with Mike from Baines wife and everyone stood up behind Mike to let that guy know whats up with Chunks of Meat. Someone said " Lets take that guy outside and beat his ass!" Nothing says family like that!

So heres to 2005 and Long Live Chunks of Meat!!!

P.S. - Also thanks to all the bands. You guys make it fun! We get to play with some bad-ass bands or see them every weekend for two nights! Only at Chunks of Meat!

03/29/2005 Under Age Kids can purchase the Chunks of St. Louis CD at Just Bills this Friday and Saturday evening between the hours of 6:30 and 9:00. We have an ALL AGES Chunksofmeat show coming up at the KANE Legion hall on Saturday April 16th an we are working on getting some summer shows at skate parks to accommodate the under age.

03/13/2005 18 and up back to normal at Just Bills effective immediately. This Friday at Battle #3 at Just Bills we will be able to start 18 and up again. 18 and up must have a valid ID.

03/11/2005 New Stage at Just Bills, that's right, thanks to the owner Robin for putting up the time to make a new larger stage for the bands to play on at Just Bills. The new stage is squared (not round) 20' wide by 15' deep. The bands now have plenty of room to get wild and bounce off the pole. It looks awesome. I'm hoping this year to upgrade the light show.

03/05/2005 Viele's Planet 3-5-2005 one of Chunksofmeat's most memorable shows. From PRIG's pounding performance to Desecr8's halarious drunken adventure to Cleevage's breath taken show to Midshift's killer performance, This show will definitely go down into the history book as one of the best. A St. Louis road trip with 3 St. Louis bands to meet up with Midshift in Springfield Chunksofmeat style, and all the booze action and stage diven will be unforgettable. Under 21 at Just Bills has been suspended due to an under aged idiot who came into Just Bills on Tuesday Night showing fake ID's to the bar tender. Cops came in and carded the minors and arrested them and the bar tender. So thanks to these $%#& idiots who screwed up a good thing for the under aged. All shows by Chunksofmeat will continue strongly with over 21 people only. Please pass the word that under age is currently suspended at Just Bills. Sorry, a bad apple ruined it. Bands with band members under age will be allowed to play since they are for hire.

02/27/2005 Your Band Support is as much important to the local scene as it is for your band to survive. Some bands are gaining disrespect by showing up to the clubs right before they go on stage and some bands leaving immediately after they are done. These type of bands show there lack of interest in a surviving scene. Being in a club with your equipment on time and sticking around at the show to support your brothers, shows how serious your band really is. We all know their is not that many places in STL to play and we have to keep these places alive and kickin for our bands to move around and out of STL. It's the bands that promote and support that keep this all happening. Thanks to those that are true!

1/31/2005 Under World X has asked Chunksofmeat Sound Systems to bring in the Chunksofmeat PA to Hard Rock Cafe on Tuesday February 15th for the "Battle for the OZZ fest" hosted by MTV. Bands Beyond All Reason, Spire, Drag the Week, and Chaos Order will be Rockin your World that night.

1/2/2005 As everyone knows our friends from Sik World in San Diego sponsored several of our shows this past year including the Battle of the Bad Ass Bands and the Baine Fest. They came in to St. Louis this past weekend and watched a few of the Chunksofmeat bands. They saw the part of Chaos Order and Prig and Cleevage. They were very impressed with the bands and had many great things to say about Chunksofmeat. Going into 2005 Chunksofmeat will be working with Sik World and hopefully in bigger ways for the bands of St. Louis.

All the bands can do themselves, Chunksofmeat and Sik World a favor and put the Sik World logo on there web site with a link to Sik Worlds web site at www.sikworld.com. I would recommend everyone to sign up for the Sik world email newsletter monthly, it’s cool metal shit. Our friends from Sik World were impressed seeing people in St. Louis at Just Bills wearing Sik World T-shirts. Support those who support us !

1/1/2005 Thanks to our Friends from Sik World Jaysun and Janine (from San Diego) for coming into Just Bills on New Years Eve and partying with us. Sik World held the Death Growl contest which the singer "Ed" from Baine ripped it up with the Ultimate death growl winning the Sik World Tee shirt. Sik World Sponsored the Battle of the Bad Ass Bands in 2004 and the Baine fest. We will continue to keep Sik World a part of Chunksofmeat in 2005. Go to Sik World.com.

Jamie, Chance, John, Robin, Dagny, Josh, Keegan, Mo, Bob, Ed, Audio Concepts, Paul Moerke and there has been many more that in some way contributed to this Metal Scene. As Chunksofmeat heads into having it's first New Years Eve bash at Just Bills, March 2005 we will have the long awaited "Chunks of St. Louis" Compilation cd released with the Bands that made it to the final Battle from the 2 series of 2004. The cd will have the Chunksofmeat story, pictures, and a song from each one of these bands. Chunksofmeat has schedule already in 2005 shows at clubs and venues where metal bands were not able to play at. We also will have some shows out of STL. We are looking forward to keeping this all alive in the STL Metal scene in 2005. "Long Live Chunksofmeat"!
